How to Search PERIND: Browse Index
Browse Index is used to find terms in the index of a specified field.
The default index is Basic Index. To change to another index (e.g. title index, author index, subject index, etc), click on the arrow in the paragraph box and select from its pull-down menu the field you wish to browse.
To locate a specific term in the selected field, enter the term in the Index Term box. This functionality works only with single terms. The screen will move to the section of the index that has the term you have entered. You can select the number of terms to be displayed per page in the box for Max Returned Terms.
Click the Browse Index button. A list of terms will be displayed.
To browse the next list, click on Browse Next Page. To go back to the first page, click on Browse First Page.
Click on the term you are interested in from the list.
A list is shown containing records with the search term you have selected.
