How to Search PERIND: Boolean Operators
Boolean operators can be used to combine multiple search terms. These terms can be used in the same field or in different fields. Three boolean operators can be used:
AND retrieves records that include all the search terms entered. It is used to narrow search results. e.g. Asian values AND Singapore
OR retrieves records that include one or all search terms. It maximises the number of records retrieved as it expands the number of terms in the search. e.g. Aged OR senior citizens.
NOT retrieves records that include the first term but not the second term. It may eliminate unwanted documents but it may also eliminate relevant records. e.g. Family NOT women. About PERIND | Search | Search Fields | Display Search Results |
